Artists, start putting your email in your bio.

Let’s be real. If your email is not in your bio, you might be playing yourself. You want bookings? You want press? You want brands to pay you? Then, you want to make sure the right people can actually reach you. Most people are not going to jump through hoops to give you an opportunity.

Make it easy for brands to contact you. Journalists, A&Rs, curators, and event organizers do not have time to DM you and wait for your response, especially when there’s another artist just as talented who has made their contact info accessible. If someone is interested in your work and they can’t find your email in seconds, they’re moving on. DMs are unreliable. They get flooded, filtered, and lost. If you're serious about your career, make your email accessible. Also, some people won't reach out that way. Having your email accessible gives people the understanding that you’re serious about your career.

Stop missing out on opportunities because you do not have an email for people to contact you. You lose money, press, and collaborations just because no one can contact you. Stop missing out on opportunities. Put your email in your bio.
